On May 16 at 3 pm, the talented professional DC baker from Buttercream Bakeshop, Tiffany MacIsaac, will virtually walk you through step-by-step to help you make a delicious dessert for you and your family. Just like they do it at Shaw’s Buttercream Bakeshop!
All funds raised will go toward helping women in DC who have experienced homelessness.

BUTTERMILK BISCUIT RECIPE!
BAKE IT LIKE BUTTERCREAM – BERRY SHORTCAKE
• Recipe yields: 6 Biscuits
• Time: 15 minutes active time
Bake Time: 9-12 minutes
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar (plus extra for sprinkling onto biscuits)
1.25 teaspoon Salt
6 Tablespoons Cold Butter
3/4 Cups Cold Buttermilk (or whole milk if buttermilk is not available)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for savory biscuits omit vanilla)
1 Cup Cold Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1.5 Cups Prepared Fruit (quartered strawberries, whole raspberries, blueberries or blackberries)
1 Tablespoon Sugar
Squeeze Fresh Lemon Juice (optional)
